Health Law Society

The student-run Health Law Society (HLS) was created to increase student awareness of the field of health law and to provide students with opportunities for participation and collaboration in the field within and beyond Temple Law. HLS members have a wide range of interests including: medical malpractice, compliance, public health, and health policy.

Each year HLS sponsors educational forums and activities, and facilitates collaboration between students and members of the health law community within Philadelphia and beyond. HLS works towards increasing student opportunities and resources in the field of health law and to strengthen students’ understanding of health law issues, as well as highlight potential careers in the field.

Examples of past programming and events include: curriculum planning initiative sessions, co-sponsorship with CHLPP of symposiums and conferences, student-led presentations on original research, and networking lunches with health law professionals and alumni.
