Kara Morse

Kara Morse, JD Candidate, Class of 2012
Kara Morse is a rising third-year student pursuing a career in public health law.  She serves as Vice-President of the Health Law Society at Temple and is a Rubin-Presser Public Interest Scholar.  Last year Kara served as Chair of the Student Public Interest Network (SPIN) and spent her summer as a legal policy intern for the National Nursing Centers Consortium and Convenient Care Association.  Both organizations promote nurse-managed primary care for underserved populations.  This year she will be a summer associate at Ballard Spahr LLP where she hopes to work closely with their thriving health law practice.

Before coming to law school at Temple, Kara worked in Washington, DC for a consulting firm specializing in non-profit advocacy and was particularly interested in their work for public health clients.  She has also been a policy assistant for an international family planning nonprofit organization and a legislative assistant for a Senator in the Oregon State Legislature.
