Marla Davis Bellamy is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Center for Health Law, Policy and Practice. She holds a joint appointment at the law school and the medical school where she serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities and Director for the Philadelphia CeaseFire program. Prior to joining Temple in July 2010, Marla was the Executive Director of the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia and for five years served as the Chief of Staff for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in Harrisburg. Other administrative positions that she has held include Executive Vice President of Special Projects at Universal Companies, Director of Community Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Executive Director of the Healthcare Management Alternatives (HMA) Foundation, Inc. She was also a former law clerk to the late Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr. in Los Angeles, California. Marla holds a BA in Communications from Johnson C. Smith University, a MGA from the Fels Center of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
